Dunbar Castle Social Club boasts a facility which can accommodate the needs of most local organisations and business or indeed anyone who is planning to organise a special event. It will comfortably seat 120 people with flexible table and seating layouts to satisfy most requirements. The venue comprises of a 7 metre by 17 metre hall, with bar lounge, kitchen and plus car parking space for 40 vehicles. It is currently available to be used by the wider community including Dance Groups; Weight Watchers; Probus Club; Meetings; Darts; Conferences: Training; Wedding Parties etc. The hall has recently been upgraded with help of grants from Viridor and local organisation Dunbar BeGreen. Improvements have been made to increase the comfort of the community groups who use the hall, these improvements include heating, lighting, secondary glazing, draught proofing and more recently an upgrade to the kitchen facility. This work has been performed with a view that it would decrease the carbon footprint and increase the overall energy efficiency of the buildings. The Hire Fee for the hall has been kept to a minimum to attract local community organisations, additionally if the Hire utilises the Bar facility for a function then the Hall Hire Fee may be waived.
